As you may know, I'm a big fan of Melissa's and tonight she launches a CD at the Rex - the 9:30 show accompanied by a great band:

Her CD is called "The Other Side" and features a number of original tunes. Cover is $10 - well worth it - way to go Melissa!
Another great event happens at Mohawk College on March 9th - the legendary guitarist Larry Carlton is appearing for a fundraising event for the Friends of Mohawk College.
Thanks to Carissa Kimbell for letting me know about event - Carissa is a "Jazzology" guest this year and promising young vocalist.
He will be performing with the Mohawk College Faculty Band...read more about Larry in this article from the Hamilton Spectator:
